Dear ma,

How is work? Guess what, I have rounded up with school and we were officially sworn in as doctors of optometry (O.D) on 13th of March. The interesting thing was that I emerged as the overall 2nd best graduating student in optometry department. All thanks to God and to NWAG for supporting me for three consecutive years which made me concentrate more on my book work and came out as the 2nd best. Presently, I have already started my housemanship at Omni Vision Eye Clinic at Lagos Island. My regards to members of NWAG. I will still write to them officially via their association mail address to thank them.

Remain blessed

Because of You, We Make a Difference

In 2003, NWAG launched a bold new campaign to raise funds to support the children in various orphanages in Nigeria. Over the past five years, many of you have responded positively to that simple idea: to make a difference in a child’s life. Some of you donated money in remembrance or in honor of loved ones. Many of the loved ones we honored had spent their lives giving back to others. Through this annual campaign, hundreds of children have benefited from the generosity of strangers. Because of you—we made a difference in the lives of the most vulnerable in our country, the orphans! We increased the number of orphanages we supported from two in 2003 to seven in 2007. We plan to add even more orphanages this year.

The seven orphanages we presently support are:

  • Little Saints Orphanage, Palm Grove, Lagos State
  • Seventh Day Adventist Mission Orphanage Home, Edeoha, Rivers State
  • The Susana Home, Abia State
  • The Ananwim Home in Abuja
  • Zuma Memorial Orphanage in Irrua Edo State
  • St. Anthony’s Destitute Center, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State
  • Tenderlove Orphange, Awka, Anambra State

We come to you again this year to ask you not to let the hope of our children die. Some of you will be joining our campaign for the first time, we thank you for the courage to step up and be counted. Your donation, like the mustard seed will continue to grow into a mighty forest. The process is very simple. We invite you to donate $50 or more in the name of a loved one living or who has passed on . The money will go to support the NWAG orphanage program. In return, you will receive a custom-made certificate in the name of your loved one(s). You can hang this proudly in your home or office as a testament of your partnership with NWAG to make a difference in the lives of our children. You and those you honored will be recognized during our annual awards banquet.

The process to become part of the BEACON 100 is very simple. You can donate on our website through the paypal or you can mail your check to
NWAG, P. O. Box 14532, Atlanta GA. 30324.
All donations are tax deductible.

NWAG thanks you for becoming a part of the BEACON 100 family.

Morning Star
BE A MORNING STARmorning star

One wonders what was going through Gideon’s (in the Bible) mind when he realized that he had to depend on only 300 committed people to defeat his enemies. He may have realized that he had a choice, focus on the Promise,or go his own way. This also brings to mind the popular saying by the
American military. They are looking for “an army of one” to build a battalion. They understand the principle of recruiting only the focused, committed individuals to accomplish their goals. It is based on the above principles that Nigerian Women Association of Georgia launches its MORNING morning star STAR CAMPAIGN. NWAG is looking for 100 committed individuals who can donate $500 or more in the next year to fund ONE OF NWAG’S PROJECTS.

morning starYour generous donation of $500 or more will:-
  • Pay for NWAG scholarship for a female University Student in a Nigerian universities.
  • Sponsor an orphanage for one year
  • Buy supplies for women in a Nigerian Hospital
  • Buy supplies for children in a Children’s Ward in a Nigerian Hospital

All you have to do is pick your cause and we will do the rest. We will give you an annual report of your investment. You will be kept informed of our progress. We will also present to you your very own MORNING morning star STAR PLAQUE as a symbol of our appreciation and this will be a constant reminder that you, like the Morning Star are breaking through the darkness of poverty, hopelessness and despair to bring joy and hope to others. What a feeling!
